Anmol Johal, RCC

Sessions are available in English or Punjabi.

I believe everyone has the capacity for growth, even during life’s most difficult moments. My approach is grounded in the understanding that struggle is a natural part of being human and that meaningful change often begins with feeling heard and understood. I support children (8+), teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, identity and meaning-making, and more. As a male therapist, I also understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, particularly for boys and men, and I strive to create a space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions without judgment.

Together, we’ll build on your strengths while developing practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence. I tailor therapy to your unique goals and needs, drawing from approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and other evidence-informed interventions.

My professional experience includes individual and group counselling, behavioural and youth support, advocacy work, and youth sports coaching. I also draw from my background as a high-performance athlete, which has shaped my understanding of pressure, resilience, identity, and personal growth. These experiences help me connect with clients across a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. My goal is to create a therapeutic space that feels genuine and worthwhile, somewhere you want to be rather than somewhere you feel obligated to be.
